Proven Clean With A Tick For Hygiene

Are your staff, customers and clients in a hygienically clean environment?

Your business uses a cleaning service, but how hygienic does that leave key areas and surfaces?
What if there was a quick, cost-effective way to test and prove the levels of cleanliness and hygiene that your current cleaning achieves?
Hygiene Detectives have the solution. We can come to your premises, and 60 seconds after swabbing a surface we can tell you how clean it is.

Just how clean is that surface?

Measuring and validating cleaning service levels is important no matter what business you are in.

Generally, if an area looks and smells clean, isn’t too dusty and there’s nothing obvious on any surfaces, it’s deemed clean enough. This approach is very superficial and is not measuring cleanliness. Despite being clean, surfaces could still be contaminated and a potential health risk.

ATP testing by Hygiene Detectives gives a comprehensive, time and cost-effective way to perform instant and ongoing cleaning evaluation, giving you confidence that your staff, customers and clients are not at risk.

Now more than ever, making sure that a surface is hygienically clean is important. ATP is the best method to achieve this:

  • Quick and cost-effective to perform and gives results on the spot
  • Provides quantified, repeatable and very accurate results
  • Report system provides documented evidence of surface cleanliness
  • Forms the basis of ongoing testing of your cleaning regime
  • Provides traffic light feedback to cleaning service providers.

How does ATP hygiene monitoring work?

SWAB

Hygiene Detectives use an ATP swabbing procedure to sample a set area of a surface.

TEST

The ATP swab is then put in an ATP testing meter which quantifies the amount of organic matter present.

REPORT

The results from the test are then used to produce a hygiene test report.

Hygiene Detective ATP sampling is broad-spectrum and tests for surface contamination by organic material. This could be food residue, bacteria, fungi, allergens, bodily fluids etc.

Hospitality ATP Testing Hotel chains, restaurant owners and boutique accommodation providers all like the customer certainty and point of difference that cleanliness testing and validation provides.

High traffic public areas such as reception desks, bars, and public toilets, as well as specific surfaces such as entrance doors, handrails and lift controls are important targets for cleaning evaluation. This then leads to better, more cost-effective cleaning.

Hygiene testing surfaces and areas in individual guest rooms allows businesses to give high levels of confidence in cleaning effectiveness and the hygiene of their businesses premises.
Hospitality
Gyms, yoga studios, physiotherapists, masseuses and other sub-clinical health providers all understand the importance of rigorous cleaning procedures to provide hygienic premises to their customers, but how do you test and prove the cleaning effectiveness?

Equipment and surfaces that see prolonged and frequent client contact often get wiped down regularly, as well as getting more rigorous cleaning, often daily. Measuring cleanliness of these provides levels of certainty and confidence that was missing until now.

Common areas and high use surfaces such as door handles, reception desks, locker doors, toilet facilities etc, if subjected to cleaning validation, all help give customers and clients assurance of the cleanliness and healthiness of the wider facility.
Fitness and Wellbeing
Ensuring that schools are hygienically clean is key in reducing the spread of many diseases through both the school population and the wider connected community. Until now there has been no quick, affordable way to prove cleaning service levels and ensure workplace hygiene for staff and students.

Employing a quality cleaning service is a significant cost for schools, yet the amount spent in no way represents the cleaning effectiveness. Cleanliness testing lets a school know if required cleaning service levels are being met. In many cases hygiene testing allows a cleaning regime to be fine-tuned, often saving money in the process.

Classroom furniture and equipment, toilet facilities, staff rooms, sick bays and receptions desks are all areas where certainty around surface cleanliness gives assurance to school administrators, staff and parents.

How clean is clean?

Different businesses have different requirements when it comes to cleaning service levels. The cleaning needed in homes is less stringent than the ‘hygienically clean’ needed in say a gym, which is less than the ‘clinically clean’ that a dentist requires.

The only way to set these levels, and prove that they are being met, is hygiene testing which lets you quantify surface cleanliness.

Hygiene Detectives provide a complete package that includes initial consultation, testing and setting of suitable standards, development of a cleanliness testing regime, performing the regular hygiene testing and providing results as part of a cleaning regime report.
