Our main office is located in the Wellington CBD. However, due to demand, we regularly schedule days to other regional centres to conduct ATP testing. Locations include Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Tauranga, Christchurch, Queenstown and more. If you would like to schedule one of these appointments, please contact us.

A hygienic workplace is a healthy one, both for staff and customers. Cleaning validation using ATP testing is a simple way of ensuring the cleanliness of your workplace and helping to minimise staff sick days. ATP sampling, used as part of a cleaning evaluation program, helps to ensure that your business gets the level of cleaning that you need. It can help prevent spending more on cleaning services than you need, or, more likely, not getting the level of cleaning that you are paying for.
We can come to your premises to measure surface cleanliness as a one-off visit, but one of the strengths of ATP hygiene monitoring is to do ongoing cleaning validation and have a verified record of how well cleaning has been done. For some industries we do very regular testing, for others once cleaning service levels have been established, we do periodic check-ups to ensure compliance
ATP swabs need to be taken after a surface has been cleaned and is fully dry, but before any subsequent hand or any other type of contact has happened.
ATP hygiene monitoring effectively verifies cleaning effectiveness. If a surface is visibly dirty, there is no point testing it – it is obviously not clean. If you do test a dirty surface, the result reading goes off the scale and doesn’t provide any useful information
The Hygiena ATP test machines self-calibrate. This checks that no stray light is leaking into the machine and that they accurately report the RLU’s of a known test light source.
